You don’t have to be an elected official (though you can be). You don’t have to speak in front of large groups (unless you want to). You don’t have to be an extrovert to make a difference. Participation can happen at your comfort level, whether that means leading a committee or just showing up and being present.
Because at the end of the day, what matters most is being part of your community.
